Ok guys. Here’s the scoop. I was ordered at my last pap smear to go visit a OB-GYN on the German economy to be tested for infertility because we have been having unprotected sex for over a year and nothing has happened. We went, no problem, right? Well, first visit, take ultrasound, everything looks normal, organs in order. Second visit, draw blood mid-cycle to make sure hormone levels are sufficient. Third visit, discuss results of blood testing. Fourth visit, they put me to sleep and cut my belly button open to make sure everything is actually there. Well, I only made it to the third visit. I was only three days late for my period, no big, I am so weird with periods I didn’t think twice, especially since I was still cramping like I was being punched in the stomach like it usually feels like when I am going to start. She asked if I had started yet, and I told her no, but I am still cramping so I don’t doubt I will. She said let’s take a look anyways. Well, below are the results of that look. This is an embryo that is 4 to 5 weeks along. It was not visible to the ultrasound on the visit I had four weeks before, or it could have happened that day or the next day after, who knows. I didn’t want to believe it. This was April 10th. Today is April 13th, and I decided oh well, I will go get a pee test. Well, I had already peed this morning, so I barely even trickled on the thing. And it still said preggo. So, I guess that’s the story. So here you go, all you Grandpa’s, Grandma’s, G.Gmas, G.Gpas, Aunts, G.Aunties, G.Uncles, etc etc. First look! Don’t you love Germans? They don’t guess like us Americans, they get up in there and check it out! On April 24th I have another ultrasound to see if the baby has developed the heart yet.

Oh boy! Pray it’s a boy plz I really don’t want another little me!!! lol Love you all!

So. Updates. Let’s see… since I got my car I have been driving all over the place, so I have become very familiar with the surrounding area. I haven’t gotten too many pictures. One of these days I will find the time to post to the Photobucket the pictures Kenny and I took in the forest behind the Kaserne he works on. There are some beautiful pictures of German forest. Most of them are year-round greens, but there are a few dead ones. Nothing beats walking through a green forest in the middle of winter cold that looks like something you would barely see in Spring in America! We didn’t go too far or we would get lost, but let’s say we got some really good pics.

German car. GET ONE!!! If you have to live in Germany long enough to need a car. American cars just won’t cut it here. I love my German car! It fits in all the parking spots Americans won’t dare squeeze their car in, it has better control at top speeds (although the engine needs some serious tuning, its an oldie), it stays on the road better in nasty weather (make sure tires are new and GERMAN winter or summer tires), it actually fits between the oncoming car and the curb on these tiny one-American-lane-counts-as-two-German-lanes roads!, etc etc. Only thing is I am still mastering how to drive a stick, and my friends don’t like it so much when I drive and it jolts a little, but hey, at least I can drive one eh? They can keep their automatics. I like my stick. Lol. It still gets a little depressing when they say they don’t want to drive with me though because I am a right-of-way hog, as in, I actually know the German rules and the Germans don’t like it when an American knows what they’re doing and they try to drive really fast and crash into me or get past me and I try not to let them because I’m not stupid or one to be taken advantage of. Besides, it’s just a general known rule that if a German crashes into you here, Americans are always at fault no matter the circumstance unless you catch them on camera. The only time it’s their fault is if they fail the breathalyzer, otherwise, it’s us that pays. My friends I was driving today, they said they don’t want to drive with me anymore because I was pulling out in a parking lot and a German tried to get behind my car while I was pulling out and I stopped so they wouldn’t hit me, and when I stopped another car pulled up beside mine so close I couldn’t turn out of my spot and I had to pull back in, and now they’re saying I’m dangerous because of it. Um, PARKING LOT, hello!!! Not supposed to be going 70k through a f**king parking lot anyways, now are we? My fault? I think NOT. The retard that kept me from turning out had American plates, though. So yeah, I think I had right of way. It’s not like I was going 100k down the highway and tried to crash, alright? And the jolting from the stick, let’s see them drive one for their first month and then be a little more appreciative, especially when everyone is talking up a storm about how I’m driving, wouldn’t you get frustrated too? Especially driving through end-of-lunch traffic through town. Yeah. Welcome to life, get some common sense and deal with it. But, I’m not one for drama, so I just don’t say anything as I try to slam it into gear. Okay, well I yelled rather loudly at the person who was sitting so I couldn’t pull my car out, but that was it.

Food. I have been shopping locally for a little bit (while I could afford it) and I have noticed the food is very fresh here. Organic food here is cheaper than most regular food of the same kind, and the milch (milk), oh wow, we discovered LandLiebe (Love of the Land) 3.8% fat and omg, we think it’s the best you can get next to coming straight out of the cow. It is absolutely delicious. McDonalds, here yes the sizes are smaller. But here is how I see it. In America, I usually ordered mediums anyways. So, here, instead of paying extra just to eat more that will make you fatter and sicker and you won’t eat it all anyways, you get to buy a meal you can actually eat all of, and the cost will keep you from being tempted to buy more. I think it would be better anyways. After all, the anti-fast-food campaign doesn’t even exist here that I have heard of. Wonder why it’s only America? It’s not the food, people, it’s your self-control!

Euro rates. Things are slowly but surely getting more expensive for us. The Euro rate keeps rising and our money keeps disappearing faster and faster. What’s sick is that it is sold at a rate ten cents higher than it is converted back into American money. You would think it would be equal, right? Nope. It’s sad though that we can still get stuff on the economy cheaper than we can get at the commissary here on base. Like, here on base, we get milk for 2 dollars a carton that expires in four days. on the economy, we get milch for 3.50 American dollars that lasts two weeks. And then there are the things that are equal in price if you take in the conversion factors. Like, 99 cents American is 63 cents Euro. So joghurt (yogurt), veggies, etc.., we try to get off-base. Lasts longer anyways. That’s just for food stuffs, though. Appliances and stuff, you just have to shop around. Oh yeah. I hate bills because we don’t have any money to have fun on. Now I wish we hasn’t blown the money we had before we had bills because now we got like 26 dollars a check for ourselves. What’s even sicker, though, is American soldiers get steady pay in America. Overseas you think they get more for the conversion expenses, right? No. We get paid less and less every month because pay here is according to the Euro rate and how it changes, something about expenses of the base, blah blahdy blah, basically we get ripped. Go Uncle sam for taking our money every way you can, even from our soldiers who need it most, right? Yeah.

Pets. Yeah. The Pet roster has changed. In the past month or a little more, both baby dragons died, so did the tiny mice and one rat. Here’s what happened. The dragons. Saphira was coming out of brumation when we bought some crickets to feed them and shw as to weak to fend them off as they ate her overnight two days after we bought them. MuShu was the victim of their craze two days after Saphira dies becasue they ate his leg one night, and after we took them and put them in a plastic bag under the heat lamp until they all fried as punishment for their deeds, we bought him some (we thought) harmless mealworms to feed off of until he regenerated. That morning after, while I was at church and Ken at a friend’s, he fell into the mealworm dish from his perch by the light, and due to his leg, couldn’t get out as they ate him from the inside out. The mice must have had some mites when we bought them because they just kept getting sicker and sicker until three ganged up on one and killed it, one got clawed by the cats, one just fell over (we think the mites, you could see them, minature flea-looking things), and the last one we gave up and fed to Loki. Loki is our new Australian Bearded Dragon. He is one & 1/2 years old, so we know the grashoppers won’t eat him (crickets are too small for him now). He doesn’t seem to like humans, seeing as for his entire life all they did was feed him and clean his cage. We have been letting him run the house every two days, and he has take to Kenny very well because he wears all tan under his uniform, and it’s comforting to Loki. We bought two more rats to befriend our rat Chico (girl!), whom we named Odin and Thor. Thor, the black one with lightning bolts down his sides (hence the name), got a serious case of diarhhea and died a week after we got him. He was sick when we got him with runny nose and leaky eyes, and we knew it would happen, but he was obviously not getting any better where he was at, and we figured it was best to let him try to get better with his brother Odin around and possibly our always-happy Chico to cheer him up. But, it happened. Odin shows no signs of sickness, and we think Chico might be pregnant already. We also inherited a ferret named Pidge from a friend who is leaving the army in a week and going back to the states. So, the new roster is: Sweetie (dog), Bonzai & Sayuri (rabbits), Pidge (ferret), Odin & Chico (rats), Loki (dragon), Shade & Nile (cats.) We are allowing one more dog if one comes to us, but after that, open shelter will close its doors! 9 right now and max of 10. We are pushing it.

Well, I can’t think of anything else. I think I’m going to go play some more FFX.

Someone Finally Said It!!!!
Proud To Be White
How many are actually paying attention to this?
There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc.
And then there are just Americans.
You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me “White boy,” “Cracker,” “Honkey,” “Whitey,” “Caveman” and that’s OK. But when call you, “minorityperson”,” Kike”, “Towel head”,” Sand-minorityperson”,” Camel Jockey”, “Beaner”, “Gook”, or “Chink” … You call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You Have Yom >Hashanah You have Ma’uled Al-Nabi You have the NAACP. You have BET.
If we had WET (White Entertainment Television)… We’d be racist.
If we had a White Pride Day… You would call us racists.
If we had White History Month We’d be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to “advance” OUR lives. We’d be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that?
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships … You know we’d be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US, yet if there were “White colleges” ..THAT would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights . You would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you’re not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride . You call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society . You call him a racist.
I am proud . But, you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists?
There is nothing improper about this.

My reply to this topic:

i must say, i am all about an open mind and i am very anti-one track, and that includes religion, race, sexual orientation, food…. lol, nvm if u didnt get that one, but anyways. i must admit, this topic made me think. this is very true, everything that is said. white people are considered racist if the word white is put in anything. well, heres what i think we should do, do what me and my husband did. my husband is an asian american, half filipino japanese and half caucasian, and i am irish american, irish norwegian caucasian from my father and caucasian from my mother. we agreed that when we have kids, we really dont think theyre gonna want to say they are irish filipino norwegian japanese caucasian american!!! so we both agreed that even thought they will know their full lineage as far back as we can trace it, they are just american. on schoolwork and everything we will end up registering them as asian american since my husband was actually a filipino citizen and is considered asian by data inquiry, but we will make sure to let them know that if they must claim a race, that their race is american! all the other countries have their own race, and america should be considered a race too, who cares what color, it is the american race! color is just to make us look prettier and define the fact that we are unique in our own way, but that doesnt make us any better or lesser than anyone else, and by establishing our race as american, that is claiming that you are uniquely the same as everyone else in america, you know what im saying? lol. peace out.

Am I great at politics or what? I got too many friends of too many races to be getting in that argument but it sucks that race keeps the argument from happening or I get called a white supremist. I hate racism, but is it not true that whites are now the biggest victims? Think about it people. If you’re reading this, next time you want to get into a racial arguement, think twice about this email I was sent.

I was going through my old email today and I found this email. I got this from my Grandma a couple months back and I thought it might be something interesting to share with my generation…

———————————————————————————————————————————————————-

> Subject: Fw: When people were born
>
> Those Born 1920-1979
>
> READ TO THE BOTTOM FOR QUOTE OF THE MONTH BY JAY LENO IF YOU DON’T READ ANYTHING ELSE—–VERY WELL STATED
>
> TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1920′s, 30′s, 40′s, 50′s, 60′s and 70′s !!
>
> First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.
>
> They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn’t get tested for diabetes.
>
> Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.
>
> We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking! As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags.
>
> Riding in the back of a pickup on a warm day was always a special treat.
> We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.
>
> We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.
>
> We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank koolaid made with sugar, but we weren’t overweight because WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!
>
> We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
>
> No one was able to reach us all day. ..
> And we were O.K.
>
> We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
>
> We did not have Playstations, Nintendo’s, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD’s, no surround-sound or CD’s, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet, no chat rooms……. WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
>
> We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.
>
> We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
>
> We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.
>
> We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!
>
> Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn’t had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!
>
> The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!
>
> These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!
>
> The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
>
> We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned
>
> HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!
>
> If YOU are one of them . .
> CONGRATULATIONS!
>
> You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good
>
> And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were.
>
> Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn’t it?!
>
> The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
>
> “With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks,”Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of allegiance?”
>
> For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us….go ahead and delete this..
>

———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
